INTEGRAL sets standards in production development

For this purpose, INTEGRAL maintains a modern toner development laboratory, also known as the development center. The development laboratory is equipped with modern measuring devices for analyzing toner formulations.
Toner product formulations are developed in the development and quality assurance laboratory. The development of toner formulations includes the analysis of the required physio-chemical properties using specialized laboratory analysis equipment. Ongoing pilot plant trials form the core of product development. To optimize the toner formulations, numerous toner small series are run in the toner development pilot plant until the optimum toner properties are achieved for the product to be developed. Analytical measurements are carried out in particular in the area of important factors such as the toner particle size distribution, the rheology of the polymers, as part of the determination of the dissipation factor, the dielectric constant and the triboelectric properties of the toner to be developed.
Optical density and color accuracy measurements are carried out as part of the analytical measurements to ensure optimum print and image quality. Extensive printing and copying tests record the long-term stability of the toner formulations developed.
